Job Description:
As a member of a small team, you will write multithreaded applications on Linux platforms to ensure that real-time exchange-distributed pricing is efficiently received and delivered for processing by the client's applications, databases and pricing distribution services. Most feed software development involves low level networking protocols such as TCP, UDP (unicast/multicast). Some feeds use Java, XML, or suitable internet technology as an adapter to a clients real-time feeds environment, as may be dictated by exchanges. Tools such as quantify, purify, etc. are used to remove source code vulnerability. SVN is used for source control to facilitate software development for the domestic business of exchange pricing. In addition to developing high performance software, expect to learn more about the financial markets and our real-time pricing applications that are nourished by exchange data.
Qualifications:
Qualifications: BS Degree – a must
MS Degree – a plus 10+ years in network programming and software engineering experience Skills Set:
- Structured programming (C) on Linux/UNIX – a must
- Core Java programming skill -- required
- Familiarity with IPC, TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast-over-IP, and Multithreading -- required.
- Excellent knowledge of shell (scripting, tools, cron, etc) – a must
- Object-oriented programming: C++/STL/Boost on Linux/UNIX -- a big plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Desire to learn new technologies and concepts. - Knowledge of financial markets a plus. - Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.
